Welcome to s.l.o.w. Presence!
Healing and educational offerings by engaging in Somatic Experiencing (SEP®), contemplative practices, and writing.
Hello!
I am Dr. Neera Malhotra. My work supports exploring a meaningful life rooted in healing, integrity, purpose, groundedness, and joy. As humans, we cannot escape pain; however, we can prevent ourselves from suffering by finding meaning in it. To me, the most significant meaning of being alive is to be with the pain, seek wisdom from it, and not look away. Living authentically is the ability to sustain the reality of who we are and the existence of who we desire to become.
S.L.O.W. stands for Sensations, listening, orientations, and wonderment (s.l.o.w.).
“When we bring intentional awareness to our embodied sensations, engage in deep listening, and attend to the orientation of our mind and body with wonder, we cultivate authentic presence. We offer a healing presence to thyself and others.”
